Welcome to the Wiki about Peru!

This is an experiment to see how I can make a wiki work for me. I would have preferred to have installed one on my website, Peruvian Graffiti or Prana Journal.

As of February 19, I made this wiki public so that anyone can work on it.

The April 9 general elections look as if they have produced a lose-lose situation: vote for Alan Garcia and reward a former president who left Peru in a shambles, or vote for Ollanta Humala, a political neophyte with an authoritarian bent, no government team and an unknown potential for disaster. I am glad that I do not live in Peru to live through the consequences. I guess we just have to get used to the realities of democracy.
